Show your colours
Ok, so spring is supposed to be here, well nearly here despite the weather. And I have had this idea for a couple of days and thought I would create it.
Putting a whole new twist on the cat and bird story, I have re-illustrated the bird in time for spring. The bird has blossomed into these amazing colours, the must have colours for the season.

Love you yesterday
"I love you more today then yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow"
This image was done as a custom order on Etsy, and guess what. It was my first order. I am quite happy how it has turned out.

Winters Day
Recovering from being ill over the couple days, I have finally done it! And since I havent submitted anything to Illustration Friday for a couple of weeks, I combined the topics 'Wool', and "Talent" together.
I have had this idea for a while, where the bird is pulling the cat along on a winters day.
Even though we are in spring now, it still feels like winter. And that means we have to wrap up warm still.
Connecting with this weeks topic 'Talent'. I think the bird has a lot of talent pulling the cat along. :)

Love Storm
Referring to Illustration Friday topic 'Storm'.
I decided I would continue the Bird and Cat story.
I couldnt decide which idea I wanted to put forward, what with the weather we have had in the past weeks. We have had so much snow, and I am glad that the rain is finally here to wash it all away.
The idea was to combine Valentines day with storm, so the bird is shielding the cat from the rain, by showing its love.

Follow your dreams
Referring to Illustration Friday topic 'Wheel'.
I decided I would follow up the cat and bird images, and see what happens.
I used 'Dreamcatcher' to represent Wheel.
I wanted the bird to be part of the dreamcatcher, whilst holding a heart from its mouth.
The cat is trying to catch its dream (love with the bird).
Whereas the bird is trying to catch its dream (the crown).

Finding love
For a while, I had a little sketch with a cat sitting on a bird, and I decided I would turn it into an illustration.
This is the second part to it, can it be a start of a friendship between a cat and a bird.

Cat sitting on bird
For a while, I had a little sketch with a cat sitting on a bird, and I decided I would turn it into an illustration.
You will never see this happen, but today I have made that happen with a 'myth'.

Little Red Cap
My personal project is to illustrate little red cap taken from Grimm's fairy tale.
This is just an idea I had, and a starting point for me to work from.

Communication Arts Competition
So I have plucked up the courage to enter the Communication Arts competition costing a mere £50.
I wasnt going to enter it, but since I have been a bit lazy and havent really promoted my work, I thought I would give it a go.
I decided to put these five images into the competition.
Based originally on the Grimm's Fairy tale, I have re-written and illustrated the full story.
It's about a Princess who has lost her ball down a pond, and a frog pops up and saves the day.
He will only get the ball on one condition that the Princess takes him back to the castle.
But she doesn't fulfill her promise, so that night the Frog knocks on the castle door, and jumps up and down inside.
He eats from the golden plate and is tired, so asks the Princess to take him up to her bed.
When she wakes up the next morning, he has turned into a Prince. And the Prince asks the Princess hand in marriage.
The book is available on E-book now for £4.99, please visit Blurb or the apple store.

Illustration Friday - Ocean
Another response to Illustration Friday topic 'Ocean'.
I decided I wanted to do a self portrait of myself and use the hair as the sea.
This image is in response to Illustration Friday topic 'Ocean'.
When I thought about 'Ocean', I had an idea of an elephant next to water.
