Ok, so work is taking over me like per usual. And I haven't been able to update this blog as much as I want to. However, I have managed to get on with creating them brooches.
I received my supply, but forgot about the varnish. (doh) But I still carried on to make them.
The first one I tried was the 'Blue Jay Bird'
This was created using mixed media. Hopefully if I can get it varnished, I will use this as part of a giveaway. My first giveaway! So stay tuned for that via twitter.
The second one, which I am pleased with is the 'Kingfisher' bird.
This is in my shop now! So grab it while you can!
I did create two more brooches, a great tit bird and a blue giraffe, BIG BUT, they came out small. So I will have to order some smaller brooch backs! You can still have a peek at them though ;)
I quite like the process of the brooches. And just today I managed to create two gorgeous little kitties! You will have to wait til the next update for that! ;)
Catch me on twitter, till I post again!
*Oh, and I will post soon about being featured in etsy treasuries ;)*

New Update
With my only day off today, I have updated my website again! The second time this month. I am quite happy with it now. So feel free to check it out: fawashah.com
On the other hand, I havent been able to draw anything for a while. But, I have managed to squeeze in some doodles at work.
Taken from the doodle, I have started another illustration off between the Fox and Magpie on a autumns day.
This magpie is very naughty! As the fox was walking, (minding its own business), the magpie takes an opportunity to drop some leaves all over him. How naughty is that!
This is available in either my Society or Etsy shop.
Throughout this month, I will be autumn inspired, and hopefully I will be able to illustrate more around this topic - including my little characters.
*Eeek, excited, I have ordered some supply to make my very own brooches. I have never done this before, so I will be updating you with that process!*
For now, just catch up with me on twitter.

Catchup, Love Birds and Etsy Treasuries 4
Oh dear! I havent kept up to my promise, I am letting my blog slide away. :/ I know I should be posting daily, but why I dont, I dont have a clue.
Anyway, from my last post, I havent finished the Work in Progress (thats been put on hold), however I have come up with some new illustrations. Quite interesting.
Bird Plant - As I have been stuck with what to draw, I started drawing some plants my mum got the other week. And with the theme I have going on with birds, I put the two together to come up with this.
So why dont you grow a bird plant? Why cant a bird have a plant as a tail? And as autumn / winter season is coming, I decided to include red berries.
I then came up with this the other day. Why cant we grow our own love birds plant? I was playing on this thought with how love grows, and a pair of birds have grown in love.
So yeah, I have been featured in quite a lot of treasuries. These treasuries are so inspiring, just look at the different variations I have been included in.
I think that is it for time being, I have created quite a few ACEO's and sold a few at the same time. But for them, just see my twitter - my main timeline.

A good catchup with Work in Progress and Etsy Treasuries 3 included
It has been sometime since I have actually posted here. So I think I am four months behind :/ The reason for my absence is the moving house, and I think we all know that it can be stressful when moving. Anyway I am back, so I will give it a try to update this blog more.
This is my work in progress at the moment. It was a spur of a moment to draw a hummingbird. I am just finishing off the flowers, so it should be done quite soon.

So as you can see I have been featured in a few treasuries, which is quite exciting. It is nice to know that people appreciate my work! :)
And also I received two emails from Society6 stating that two of my works have been put into the shop, thats quite exciting aswell. Hopefully it will bring traffic for me.
And checking 'Illustration Friday', the topic this week is 'Travel'. So hopefully in my next post I can show what happens next with the Bird and Cat series.

So thats the end of this post.

Wild ACEO's
This one was inspired by my pink love hearts tree I did a week back in 'Catchup '
This one is based on the urban cat. I thought I would re illustrate it again.
This piece is what I had in mind for the 'Wild' theme. The wind has been a bit crazy over the week, so the leaves are flying away.
And this last image is based on my print class. I chose to illustrate Edward Lear's book of nonsense poem.
In reference to 'Illustration Friday topic 'Wild' I could make my mind up what I wanted to create. So to get me started I decided to create some ACEO's. This is my first lot in ACEO's. It is quite different to what I normally do! But it kept me busy!
My idea of the theme 'Wild' was to show either the wild flowers, or the wild wind we have had for over a week. When will we ever get spring?
You can buy these ACEO's through Etsy

Etsy Treasuries 2
Ok, so its that time again - end of the week. During the week, I have had my work put into treasury lists six times and my third sale.
However, on the other hand I havent been inspired and havent had the time to draw :( Hopefully I will start a fresh again tomorrow, and see what the rest of the week holds.

Catch Up & Urban Cat
It feels as though I havent posted for a while, but I only posted the other day. Anywho bit of a catchup, as I keep saying I think we are in spring and especially wedding seasons, I decided to make a whimsical 'Love Tree' The saying goes - true love never gets old. So no matter how old you get, love will always grow!
There is another saying which sometimes I dont understand - Patience is a virtue. And I think I waited and it paid off. I received my third sale yesterday, so it was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning! I am just going to keep working hard bit by bit to build my shop up!
And lastly, in response to the Illustration Friday topic 'Urban' I decided to bring back the kitty. I wonder where this kitty is off to? Is he looking for that Urban city, or is he that urban cat I was telling you about?
I have yet to finish off the first image.
However, I submitted the second image as the final one for time being!

Referring to Illustration Friday topic 'Egg'
My first post for April - Spring Season.
What have we come across here? These delicious Easter Eggs. Yum Yum!
The weather has been gorgeous over the Easter weekend, despite being at work. I think we are eventually over the bad weather! :) Let the flowers blossom!

Blue Jay Feathers
As I have started a night class on printmaking for 10 weeks, we have been given a topic based on Edward Lear.
From Edward Lear's book of nonsense, I chose to illustrate 'The Judicious Jubilant Jay".
The Judicious Jubilant Jay,
who did up her Back Hair every morning with a Wreath of Roses,
Three feathers, and a Gold Pin.
This is the first idea I had. I will be posting what I do in the coming weeks.

Double Your Chance
As I was in a playful mood, I came up with this. As my persona is based around a magpie, I started drawing a magpie. I really had no intention to come with an image like this.
Anyway double your chance, and you may get lucky! Seeing two magpies is lucky right?

Show your colours
Ok, so spring is supposed to be here, well nearly here despite the weather. And I have had this idea for a couple of days and thought I would create it.
Putting a whole new twist on the cat and bird story, I have re-illustrated the bird in time for spring. The bird has blossomed into these amazing colours, the must have colours for the season.

Winters Day
Recovering from being ill over the couple days, I have finally done it! And since I havent submitted anything to Illustration Friday for a couple of weeks, I combined the topics 'Wool', and "Talent" together.
I have had this idea for a while, where the bird is pulling the cat along on a winters day.
Even though we are in spring now, it still feels like winter. And that means we have to wrap up warm still.
Connecting with this weeks topic 'Talent'. I think the bird has a lot of talent pulling the cat along. :)

Unique Animals
It took me a bit of time, but I finally got round to having another go with drawing the zebra. I even managed to design a giraffe while I was at it.
These two images are also in my Society6 or Etsy shop.

Love Storm
Referring to Illustration Friday topic 'Storm'.
I decided I would continue the Bird and Cat story.
I couldnt decide which idea I wanted to put forward, what with the weather we have had in the past weeks. We have had so much snow, and I am glad that the rain is finally here to wash it all away.
The idea was to combine Valentines day with storm, so the bird is shielding the cat from the rain, by showing its love.

Follow your dreams
Referring to Illustration Friday topic 'Wheel'.
I decided I would follow up the cat and bird images, and see what happens.
I used 'Dreamcatcher' to represent Wheel.
I wanted the bird to be part of the dreamcatcher, whilst holding a heart from its mouth.
The cat is trying to catch its dream (love with the bird).
Whereas the bird is trying to catch its dream (the crown).

Finding love
For a while, I had a little sketch with a cat sitting on a bird, and I decided I would turn it into an illustration.
This is the second part to it, can it be a start of a friendship between a cat and a bird.

Cat sitting on bird
For a while, I had a little sketch with a cat sitting on a bird, and I decided I would turn it into an illustration.
You will never see this happen, but today I have made that happen with a 'myth'.
